What you actually pay

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free trial?
Yes — every plan includes a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start.
How does per-user billing work?
You're charged USD US$20 (plus sales tax) per admin user, per month. An 'admin user' is anyone who logs into SteadyOn to manage your H&S system — typically your safety lead, operations manager, or a small management team. Workers, volunteers, members, and even the public can report hazards and incidents via QR code without a paid account. Add or remove admin users at any time — Stripe automatically prorates the difference and applies it to your next invoice.
Do my workers, volunteers, or members need accounts?
No. Anyone in your organisation — and even the public — can report a hazard or incident through SteadyOn via a QR code or a shareable public link. No login, no account, no charge. Only the people administering your H&S system need a paid admin user account.
Who counts as a 'user' that I pay for?
A user is anyone who logs into SteadyOn to administer your H&S system — typically admins, owners, and safety managers. People who report hazards or incidents via QR code or public link do not count as users and are not charged.
Is sales tax included in the USD US$20 price?
No — the USD US$20/admin-user/month price excludes sales tax. Whether software is taxable is set state by state; where SteadyOn is required to collect it, Stripe calculates the correct rate at checkout and shows it separately on your invoice.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your account is paused — you can still log in and view your data, but you can't add new records until you choose a plan. Your data is retained for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted if no plan is chosen.
What is the AI Board Report?
The AI Board Report analyses your hazard, incident, action, inspection, and training data and generates a narrative report for your board, trustees, or leadership team — including trend analysis, risk observations, outstanding actions, and plain-language recommendations.
What compliance standards does SteadyOn support?
SteadyOn supports the US OSHA framework: the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 including the General Duty Clause, 29 CFR 1910 general-industry standards, emergency action plans, and severe-injury reporting to OSHA — fatalities within 8 hours, and in-patient hospitalisations, amputations, or loss of an eye within 24 hours. Jurisdiction-specific lists adapt to your country automatically when you sign up. Note that OSHA 300/300A recordkeeping logs are on the roadmap and not included today; employers with 10 or fewer staff are partially exempt from those logs in any case.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is stored in a SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. You own your data and can export it in CSV format at any time.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel at any time. Your subscription ends at the current billing period — no refunds for partial months. We'll export all your data on request.
