What you actually pay
You only pay for the people who log in to administer SteadyOn — typically your safety lead, your operations manager, and a couple of deputies. The rest of your team — workers, volunteers, members, even the public — can report hazards and incidents from their phone via QR code or a public link. No account needed. No extra cost.
| Your organisation | Admin users | Monthly cost (NZD) |
|---|---|---|
| Small NFP (4 paid staff, 1,000 members) | 3 | $60 |
| Solo coordinator (1 person, 50 volunteers) | 1 | $20 |
| SME (25 staff, management team) | 4 | $80 |
| Construction firm (50 workers + 6 supervisors) | 6 | $120 |

Frequently asked questions
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes — every plan includes a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start.
- How does per-user billing work?
- You're charged NZD $20 (GST inclusive) per admin user, per month. An 'admin user' is anyone who logs into SteadyOn to manage your H&S system — typically your safety lead, operations manager, or a small management team. Workers, volunteers, members, and even the public can report hazards and incidents via QR code without a paid account. Add or remove admin users at any time — Stripe automatically prorates the difference and applies it to your next invoice.
- Do my workers, volunteers, or members need accounts?
- No. Anyone in your organisation — and even the public — can report a hazard or incident through SteadyOn via a QR code or a shareable public link. No login, no account, no charge. Only the people administering your H&S system need a paid admin user account.
- Who counts as a 'user' that I pay for?
- A user is anyone who logs into SteadyOn to administer your H&S system — typically admins, owners, and safety managers. People who report hazards or incidents via QR code or public link do not count as users and are not charged.
- Is GST included in the NZD $20 price?
- Yes. The NZD $20/admin-user/month price is GST-inclusive (15% NZ GST). Your Stripe-issued tax invoice will show the GST component separately for your records.
- What happens when my trial ends?
- Your account is paused — you can still log in and view your data, but you can't add new records until you choose a plan. Your data is retained for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted if no plan is chosen.
- What is the AI Board Report?
- The AI Board Report analyses your hazard, incident, action, inspection, and training data and generates a narrative report for your board, trustees, or leadership team — including trend analysis, risk observations, outstanding actions, and plain-language recommendations.
- What compliance standards does SteadyOn support?
- SteadyOn is purpose-built for the NZ regulatory framework: HSWA 2015, GRWM Regulations 2016, Worker Engagement Regulations 2016, First Aid Regulations 2016, FENZ Act 2017 and Evacuation Regulations 2018, and Privacy Act 2020.
- Is my data secure?
- Yes. All data is stored in a SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. You own your data and can export it in CSV format at any time.
- What happens if I cancel?
- Cancel at any time. Your subscription ends at the current billing period — no refunds for partial months. We'll export all your data on request.
